In this work, a dynamic flocculate evaluation device including a simulated skimmer was designed for evaluating the oil removal and floc adhesiveness and a novel interface-active cationic flocculant was prepared. Terpolymer of DM, XS and C12DM (the mole ratio of C12DM to DM is 1.5%) had best flocculation performance for treating OWPF.
